Instrumentaria Manufactured Patient-Specific Humerus Prosthesis
In collaboration with Professor Kolundžić, Instrumentaria designed a tumor-specific personalized humerus implant for a young patient at the Children’s Hospital in Klaićeva. Following all the requirements of the lead surgeon and taking into account the biomechanical stability of the implant, Instrumentaria’s development team created another high-quality personalized implant using the latest technological advancements in medical device manufacturing.
The implant was successfully implanted during a lengthy surgical procedure led by Professor Kolundžić, and the patient is recovering according to the postoperative expectations of the medical team. The value of this procedure, which saved the patient’s upper limb, goes without saying.
